Simon Pearce s Highgate vase has a weighty base and a heart-shaped rim, to hold everything from a bunch of wildflowers to that one perfect rose. Growing up in Ireland, Simon Pearce learned to throw pots in his father s studio. At 16, he went to London to study glassblowing, and then apprenticed with with prestigious makers throughout Europe.
